About the Appointment Procedure

New Zealand has one of the highest skin cancer rates in the world, so it's essential to stay vigilant. If you have any concerns about your skin, don’t wait—get it checked!

We offer a comprehensive range of skin health services, including:

  • Spot checks for suspicious moles or lesions
  • Full body mole checks
  • Biopsies for concerning moles or dermatological conditions
  • Liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy) treatment for warts and certain skin lesions
  • Surgical removal of problematic skin lesions, with follow-up checks and treatments
  • Cosmetic removal of moles, skin tags, and warts
  • Treatment for keloid or hypertrophic scars
  • Management of dermatological conditions such as acne, fungal infections, and persistent rashes
  • Radiofrequency Surgitron treatment for mole removals

Annual Skin Checks (Skin Cancer and Mole Checks)

Regular skin checks are crucial for early detection of skin cancers. We recommend annual skin checks for anyone with moles, warts, or lesions of concern. It’s especially important to book an appointment if you notice any changes in your skin, such as a mole becoming darker or raised, developing irregular shapes or multiple colors, or if it starts itching, catching, or bleeding.

If you have fair skin, a history of frequent sunburns, sunbed use, or a family history of skin cancer, we suggest having your skin checked every six months by the same doctor for consistency.

Peace of mind is priceless.

Mole, Wart, and Cyst Removal

At our La Pelle Auckland skin clinic, we offer both surgical and non-surgical removal of moles, warts, and cysts, using methods such as full, punch, or shave biopsies, and cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen.

Our experienced doctors will conduct a thorough consultation before any procedure to discuss your options and their associated risks and benefits, as well as provide guidance on post-surgery wound care.

All suspicious lesions will be sent to the lab for analysis, with results available within 2-3 weeks. We will convey the results during a follow-up visit or, if preferred, via phone or email. Depending on the biopsy results, you may need further treatment or referral to a specialist or the public health system.

If you have private health insurance, such as Southern Cross, many of these procedures may be fully covered.
