BOTOX ® is used for both aesthetic and therapeutic treatments.

Botulinum toxin injections are a popular and safe way to improve your youthful appearance by reducing the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.

Typically, anti-wrinkle injections are performed;

• At the corners of the eyes
• On the forehead
• Above your nose, between your eyebrows
• At the corners of your mouth

Botulinum toxin can also be useful for certain medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the armpits), prevention of chronic headaches and migraines, and blepharospasm (eye twitching).

The Botox Injections Treatment Process

Your journey to a refreshed appearance begins with a consultation at La Pelle, where one of our experienced practitioners will discuss your concerns and determine the best treatment plan for your needs. The Botox procedure itself is quick and minimally invasive, typically taking just 15-30 minutes.

• Consultation: We start by assessing your skin and identifying the areas where Botox will deliver the most benefit.
• Injection: Using a fine needle, we carefully inject small amounts of Botox into the targeted muscles. The injections are virtually painless, and most patients experience only mild discomfort, similar to a pinprick.
• Aftercare: There is no downtime required after Botox, so you can return to your normal activities right away. We will provide post-treatment care instructions to ensure optimal results.

How long does the treatment take to work?

You will start seeing results within 3-4 days, and full results at 2 weeks post treatment. Occasionally, you may need to come back for a top-up treatment to certain areas (usually on the forehead).

If this is for a pre-wedding treatment, we highly recommend that you come in at least 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding day, to allow us time to provide any necessary fine adjustments.

How long does Botulinum toxin treatment last?

Results for facial treatments typically last 3-4 months, sometimes longer. There is individual variability due to various factors. Wrinkles that are deep and longstanding may need a few treatments to soften, and may not completely resolve.

For certain treatments where higher units are used, for example in the armpits for excessive sweating, the effects usually last 6-9 months.

What happens after Anti-wrinkle treatment?

Your wrinkles and fine lines will return to their original [pre-treatment] state. We recommend keeping on top of the treatments on a regular basis.

Are there risks, or side-effects?

Minor post-treatment symptoms may include redness around the injection sites (this typically resolves within 10 min), bruising (rare), or headache.  Allergic reactions to Botulinum toxin or its constituents are very rare – rest assured that our clinic is fully equipped to manage this.
